El Pulgarcito is a lively, family-run restaurant that needed a more budget-friendly and streamlined menu. To reflect its vibrant Salvadoran spirit while simplifying choices, the menu was reduced from ten cluttered pages to four. Riveted to reusable wooden boards, the design allows for easy updates. Inspired by El Salvador’s colorful folk art and the restaurant’s vivid decor, the palette draws from a Chuck Berry album with bold blue, tangerine, and unexpected red and light blue combinations. The logotype nods to Salvadoran and Mayan art with interlocking, rounded forms—playful yet strong—mirrored in the use of Cubano for headers and Bilo for clear, legible menu items.
